Open positions

If you are interested in joining the lab in any of our research directions, please contact us: burketova@ueb.cas.cz

We are open to welcome students/scientists for short- or long-term internships like MSCA-IF, Erasmus, EMBO, FESPB/FEBS/FEMS etc.

Currently open topics for Bc/MSc students

  • Mechanisms of pathogenicity of the filamentous fungus Leptosphaeria maculans
  • Salicylic acid on a crossroad between growth and defence in plants
  • Interaction of bacteriophages with plant defence system
  • Roots as interface of interaction with pathogenic fungi

For the students of Charles University in Prague (or other local universities), we highly recommend a Plant Immunity lecture/practical course (available in Summer semester). For more info contact kalachova@ueb.cas.cz
